1995
In the summer of 1998, Lisbon held its World Fair to celebrate 500 years of Portuguese discoveries.
It went together with a major investment which saw the Lisbon riverside reinvented into a tourist and cultural atraction.
Aside from the Oceanarium that opened at that time, Pedro Salgado also had the opportunity to work on the official calendar for the event.
This became his finest hour because he had a lot of time and was paid well to do his work. In fact, at the end he was so happy with it, he sent them for exhbitions around the world and ended up winning several first prizes
All of this work is Indian ink on scratchboard.
