Lisbon Oceanarium

The Lisbon Oceanarium is the largest indoors aquarium in Europe. It houses 450 different aquatic species and it is one of Lisbon's main touristic attraction.

Pedro Salgado was asked to do scientific illustrations of some of the species for the exhibit and souvenier books.

It took him three years to complete the watercolour and dry brush work which is still being used to this day.
